The Bucks County Classic was founded in 2004 by two time American National Champion John Eustice as the second day of what was then the Univest Grand Prix. The original race was a men's pro/am race. In 2012 the race rebranded as the Thompson Bucks County Classic and in 2014 the race expanded to include a pro women's race thanks to Doylestown Health and in 2015 an amateur men's race was added. Current Director Laura Reppert took over the race in 2019 and added an amateur women's race. In 2021 the race became known as the Bucks County Classic and in 2022 a master's race. The iconic race enters its 21st year in 2025 and continues to draw the best racers and up and coming stars in the country.
The Bucks County Classic is a 1.4 mile closed circuit course that riders complete laps on. Each lap has 8 turns and 90 feet of climbing circling the Doylestown Arts Festival passing through business and residential areas.
